Era uma vez uma linda mulher, criativa e contemplativa, olhava para um lindo arco-íris no fim do horizonte. Ao contemplá-lo pensou: “Que maravilhoso seria se pudesse trazer comigo um arco-íris!”. Olhou para o seu filho a dormir serenamente no seu colo e perguntou-lhe: “Gostarias de ser aconchegado num arco-íris de luz? Poderias dormir e crescer iluminado.”. O bebé sorriu-lhe como se entendesse a linguagem universal do amor que sua mãe lhe falava.
A linda mulher continuou a contemplar o céu e viu duas nuvens brancas, grandes e fofinhas, pareciam duas flores de algodão. Ao observar as nuvens pensou na sua textura, na sua leveza e na sua consistência. Olhou de volta para o filho e num conjunto de ideias cogitou em como seria bom juntar a leveza das nuvens e as cores do arco-íris para fazer um carregador único. Se conseguisse poderia trazer o seu bebé junto do seu coração, tranquilo, seguro e com a sensação de ser eternamente amado.
Pensou, idealizou... Ela ia conseguir! Noite após noite começou a cruzar cada linha com amor, a testar cada cor com paciência e a tecer um longo pano com muita sabedoria e bondade. No fim de várias noites de dedicação viu-se perante um pano rico em cores e maravilhoso na textura, tão cheio de amor e carinho que parecia querer amarrar-se sozinho e aconchegar-se ao bebé e ao seu corpo de mãe, mulher e cuidadora.
Não satisfeita, a mulher pegou nele e fez um Mei Tai (um painel pré-formado com quatro tiras de tecido cozido em cada extremidade). Colocou-o e ajustou-o com o seu bebé crescido. Uau! Que delícia de conforto, que firmeza da amarração que em nada cede ao peso ou à movimentação, que sustentabilidade e suporte o carregador proporcionava sem comprometer a frescura de um dia quente! A jovem mãe estava encantada com o carregador e pensava no tempo que tinha perdido em não carregar o seu bebé. Esta parecia-lhe uma alternativa prática e confortável que lhe possibilitava ir apanhar frutas, juntar folhas ou cheirar flores sem ter de temer os riscos do mundo, as cobras, os lobos, as aranhas.
No fim, a linda mulher contemplava a tranquilidade do seu bebé envolvo em nuvens de arco-íris, a sua serenidade, com a certeza que não havia outro lugar no mundo onde quisesse estar ou onde o seu bebé quisesse estar.
