Já lá vão uns longos meses desde que me dediquei de coração ao
mundo do babywearing. Ao longo deste tempo aprendi e acreditei que mais
do que carregar, o babywearing era um mundo de amor, afeto e muita
partilha. Descobri um mundo especial de ajuda ao próximo e tão envolvente que
nos faz apaixonar.
Este mundo tem caras, tem nomes, tem pessoas que se tornam nossas
referências diárias e, mais do que nunca, é importante tomarmos consciência de
que é um mundo que se perspetiva crescer e que bom que assim o é! Somos todas
nós, juntas, que fazemos deste mundo mais e melhor. Todas teremos certamente
muito a aprender mas também teremos muito a ensinar (é um mundo de partilha,
recordam?).
Sendo eu da área humana e social não poderia deixar de ver toda
esta partilha também como uma excelente forma de inclusão…inclusão de tantas
mães que estão sozinhas nos primeiros meses de vida e que tanta companhia e
aproximação lhes trazem estes grupos, os encontros, os porta-bebés viajantes…
Os porta-bebés viajantes tornaram-se uma constante na minha vida e
é sempre com alegria que recebo todas as semanas um trapinho novo para
experimentarmos…esta semana não foi diferente mas com os problemas inerentes
das viagens juntei quatro viajantes. Quatro viajantes que me trouxeram uma
alegria imensa e cada um teve um lugarzinho especial no meu coração. É tão
positivo esta partilha quer das marcas quer de particulares que nos
possibilitam experimentar novos porta-bebés, com diferentes cores, composições,
tramas, tamanhos, preços, etc. Permite-nos explorar ao mais ínfimo pormenor a
diversidade que existe neste tão vasto mundo.
Estava eu a terminar a minha última review que podem ver aqui
;) quando recebi este RS da Kaami Slings, o Flora!
Já sentiram aquela vontade louca de entraparem os babys com o mais
suave e sedoso tecido?!
Pois bem, foi o que senti após o primeiro toque neste Flora!
Mais! Jurei a pés juntos que este RS tinha seda, muita seda…como
poderia aquele toque tão sedoso, suave e macio não ter a mínima percentagem de
seda?!
E a verdade é que estava enganadíssima…o Flora é 100% algodão e
tem cerca de 180g/m2.
O algodão é das fibras mais utilizadas e versáteis na composição
dos nossos trapinhos. É macio, improvável de irritar a pele e easy care como
se quer! Devido às suas características, este RS é leve, arejado e fresco e por
isso, excelente para o Verão.
A sua baixa gramagem não nos assustou e este RS mostrou-nos como
se porta tão bem e é tão confortável! É de um ajuste fantástico, o tecido
desliza nas argolas e ajusta-se na perfeição. O padrão floral, que eu
pessoalmente adoro nos panos, em tecelagem Jaquard ajuda a que o RS mantenha a
estabilidade sem deslizar, pelo que não são necessários grandes reajustes (com
os nossos 10kg de baby, pelo menos!).
A sua elevada maleabilidade e facilidade de ajuste faz com que
este RS seja perfeito para recém-nascidos e para pessoas menos experientes (e
as mais experientes também agradecem um RS assim fácil e confortável ;) ).
Para finalizar posso dizer-vos que fiquei impressionada com este
RS! Na gama dos RS foi dos que mais gostei de experimentar. É excelente para
termos sempre no carro para qualquer passeio que surja!
Como o sol tem andado a brincar ao esconde-esconde connosco não
tivemos grandes passeios para espalhar a beleza e charme do Flora, assim
utilizámo-lo mais como nosso aliado nas tarefas domésticas.
Claro está que com uma semana tão recheada de trapos alguma coisa
tinha que escapar e portanto fotos que é bom são poucas e tremidas!

It has been a few
months since I started to put my heart into the world of babywearing. During
this time I have learn that more than carrying, babywearing is a world full of
love, affection and a lot of sharing. I have found a special world where people
help each other and I have fallen in love with it.
This
world has faces, it has name, it has people who became daily references in our
lives, therefore, it is extremely important that we be aware of these magical
world. It is us all together who make this world bigger and better. We all
certainly have a lot to learn but I am sure that we have a lot to teach too (it
is a world of sharing, remember?).
Coming from a
background on social sciences and humanities I could not stop notice these way
of sharing as an excellent form of social inclusion… inclusion of so many moms
who are alone in the first months, who use this groups to have some company,
all the meetings organized in each town, traveling baby carriers/testers…
The testers have
become a routine in my life and it is always with so much joy and fun I receive
every week a new wrap to try on… This week was not different but due to
problems with tours I gather 4 wraps. Four testers who brought me unconditional
happiness and each of them had a special place in my heart. This is such a
positive sharing experience, the brands that
allow who makes it possible to try
on all the different wraps, with different colors, materials, sizes, prices,
etc. It allows us to explore the smallest detail in the diversity that exists
in this vast world.
I was finishing my last reviews, which you can have a look here :), when I got this RS from Kaami Slings, the Flora!
Have you ever felt that crazy urge to wrapping up a
baby with the softest and most silky material?!
Well, that exactly how I felt as soon as I touched
Flora!
More! I swore to the gods that the RS had silk, a lot
of silk… how could that touch so silky and soft not have the least percentage
of silk?!
And the truth is that i was very wrong… Flora is 100%
cotton and has around 180g/m2. Cotton is the fiber which is more often utilized
and versatile when it comes to make the wraps. It is very soft, usually the skin
has not problems with irritation because of it, and it is easy care, which is
what we mom’s want! Due to its characteristics this RS it’s light and airy,
therefore it is a perfect match for summer time.
The low weight did not scare us and this RS showed us
that it behaves very well and it is super comfortable! It is easy to adjust,
the fabric slips on the rings and fits perfectly. The floral pattern, which I
personally love, in Jacquard weaving helps the RS keep its stability without
slipping, so no big readjustments are required (with our 10kg baby at least!).
The malleability and facility to adjust makes this RS
perfect for newborns and for less experienced people (and the more experienced
ones also would be pleased with one RS so easy and comfortable ;) ).
To conclude, I can assure you all that I was very
satisfied and impressed with the RS! In all the RS collection this is the one I
liked the most. It is great to have in the car for any spontaneous trip!
The sun has been playing hide-and-seek with us lately
so we have not had great walks to spread Flora’s beauty and charm, so we have
used it more as our ally in household chores.
Of course that with whole week of wraps, something had
to be missing, photos are almost none!
