Didymos é uma empresa com uma longa tradição e um papel de grande relevo no mundo do babywearing desde 1972. A marca é, a nível mundial, sempre associada a alta qualidade e beleza. Trata-se de uma empresa familiar, criada por Erika Hoffmann, que procurou uma forma prática e descomplicada de manter os seus gémeos recém-nascidos e os dois filhos mais velhos, junto a ela, enquanto realizava as suas tarefas diárias.

Assim que iniciei esta aventura no mundo do babywearing (com o mesmo intuito que Erika Hoffmann!) li tantas críticas positivas e recomendações em relação aos panos Didymos que depressa decidi que teria de investir num trapo da marca. Difícil estava a ser a escolha, tendo em conta a vasta coleção de panos, repleta de cores e texturas maravilhosas.
Quando menos esperava, ao abrir a página do Facebook, deparei-me com um post de apresentação do Zephyr e fez-se luz, pensei de imediato "É este!" e assim foi, este belo trapinho foi a minha prenda de aniversário (de mim para mim ahahahah).

Fiquei completamente rendida às cores, a lembrar um arco-íris de tons suaves, e ao seu padrão geométrico inspirado nos cataventos. Este pano chama-se Zephyr em referência a Zéfiro, o deus grego Ζέφυρος (Zephyros), que é a personificação mitológica do vento do Oeste.

O pano tem apenas as cores cru, amarelo, vermelho e azul turquesa, mas devido à junção de cores na sua tecelagem parece um verdadeiro arco-íris e tem dois lados completamente diferentes. De um lado cores suaves a lembrar a Primavera, do outro cores mais intensas que lembram o Outono. Este pano é mesmo assim, versátil, oferece conforto em qualquer estação do ano.

O tecido é algodão 100% orgânico e ao primeiro toque confesso que fiquei um pouco desiludida, pois esperava um pano mais suave e macio, mas conquistou-me a cada utilização e neste momento não podia estar mais satisfeita. Continua a não ser um pano suave ao toque, devido à textura acentuada do seu padrão, mas é macio, muito maleável e fácil de ajustar. O Zephyr tem uma boa diagonal, oferecendo sempre um belo abraço, e boa aderência, sem dificultar os portes de 2 camadas.

Com 260 g/m², este é um pano um pouco mais grosso que grande parte dos Didymos que tive oportunidade de experimentar, mas não deixa de ser um pano leve e confortável mesmo nas estações quentes. Oferece bom suporte e não o sinto nos ombros, mesmo quando usado durante longos períodos. Neste momento é o "menino dos meus olhos".

Para vos mostrar o Zephyr escolhi um passeio de fim de tarde no "meu" Castelo de Palmela, zona com vários moinhos de vento, onde podem ver um pôr de sol magnífico e uma paisagem muito bonita. De um lado Setúbal e a nossa Costa Azul, do outro Lisboa. Recomendo a visita... e o pano também!

Didymos is a company with a long tradition and a major role in the world of babywearing since 1972. The brand is, worldwide, always associated with high quality and beauty. It's a family business, created by Erika Hoffmann, who sought a practical and uncomplicated way of keeping her newborn twins and two older children with her as she performed her daily chores.

As soon as I started this adventure in the world of babywearing (with the same intention as Erika Hoffmann!) I read so many positive reviews and recommendations regarding Didymos wraps that I quickly decided that I would have to invest in a wrap of this brand. The hardest thing was to choose, given the vast collection of wraps, filled with wonderful colors and textures.

One day I opened the facebook page and when least expected I came across a Zephyr presentation post and it struck me "This is it!" and so it was, this beautiful wrap was my birthday gift (from me to me ahahahah).

I completely surrendered to the colors, remembering a rainbow of soft tones, and its geometric pattern inspired by the pinwheels. This wrap is called Zephyr in reference to the Greek god Ζέφυρος (Zephyros), that is the mythological personification of the wind of the West.

The wrap has only the colors raw, yellow, red and turquoise blue, but due to the color matching in your weaving it looks like a true rainbow and has two completely different sides. On one side soft colors to remember the Spring, the other more intense colors that resemble Autumn. This cloth is nonetheless versatile, offers comfort in any season.

The wrap is 100% organic cotton and the first touch I confess I was a little disappointed, because I expected a gentler and softer wrap, it grew on me in every use and at this moment I could not  be more satisfied. It continues do not be a soft wrap to the touch, due to the accentuated texture of its pattern, but it's very malleable and easy to adjust. The Zephyr has a good diagonal, always offering a good hug, and good adhesion, without hindering the carries of 2 layers.

With 260 g / m², this is a slightly thicker wrap than most of the Didymos that I had the opportunity to try, but it's still a light and comfortable wrap even in hot seasons. It offers good support and does not feel on the shoulders, even when used for long periods. At this moment he is the "apple of my eyes".

To show you the Zephyr I chose a late afternoon walk in "my" Castle of Palmela, an area with several windmills, where you can see a magnificent sunset and a very beautiful landscape. From one side Setúbal and our "Costa Azul", from the other Lisbon. I recommend the visit... and the wrap too!
